~ ∞ ~ The Birth of Infinite Quantum Zen 2/2 - Awaken the Living Awareness Within ~ ∞ ~

Let us continue. Somewhere along the way, I also realized that after reaching a certain level of Self-Awareness, there comes a point where it becomes apparent that there is ultimately nothing that can be taught to others ‘as such.’ Rather, there are only realizations upon realizations that can bear fruit in a form of knowledge, which can be conveyed to others as information. Based on that information, one can develop an intellectual understanding of the ideas and concepts. Thus, we can only share a representation of what we have experienced and realized within ourselves, and no matter how detailed our informational legacy may be, it is always up to each individual how they use what they have been given.

When I came to this profound realization, I also understood that everything is readily and plentifully available for everyone – equally, although it might not seem that way to some. This means that everything from the Secrets of the Universe to the Mysteries of Life is to be known, and to be understood quite easily through the Self-Realization process. I realized that to achieve this, all it takes is one’s own willingness to become aware of it all. To become aware is to become free of self-imposed limitations; to become aware is to become aware of thoughts, emotions, feelings, physical sensations, behaviors, and speech; to become aware is to shed the layers of the human condition that blinds our perception of our Infinite Being. To become aware is to awaken from the dream of life, which in turn means becoming aware; and being aware, each moment, of what we are doing as we are doing it, of what we are thinking as we are thinking it, and how we are feeling as we are feeling it. And so you see, the more we want to become aware – the more we become aware; and the more we become aware – the more our consciousness expands.

The process itself requires high amounts of perseverance and strength of will, including the willingness to surrender to the Greater Intelligence of Life – one’s Free Will must be aligned with the Divine Will. And hence it results in the lack of need to teach others how to become Self-Realized. You see, Self-Realization is, after all, something that one needs to do themselves – it is something that everyone must experience for themselves by realizing themselves; there are no shortcuts – you see, it all boils down to Self-Mastery, and the pursuit of Self-Mastery requires dedication and effort, which are the first steps in mastering one’s life. Self-Realization is, after all, realizing one’s deepest desires and capacities, fulfilling the possibilities of one’s potential; and likewise is the case with its natural progression, Self-Actualization – utilizing one’s potential, expressing one’s creativity, quest for spiritual enlightenment, pursuit of knowledge, and desire to give to society.

This kind of process is something that cannot be taught ‘as such,’ because each individual is different in their own unique way. What can be done, though – is to show the way, and what can be done to ease this process, is the sharing of documented experiences and the valuable knowledge therein. These kinds of examples can encourage and help others in many unimaginable ways on their own unique paths toward Self-Mastery – through Self-Realization and Self-Actualization. On that note, it is worth pointing out that the best teachers are those who show active example by walking their walk instead of just talking the talk. All that teachers can eventually do is to point the direction – after that, it’s purely up to the student whether to walk across the path that is shown; and yet, in all actuality, each and every one of us have to find our own ways and methods that work for us. In so doing, we eventually find our own unique way within ourselves – see?

We cannot teach people anything; we can only help them discover it within themselves. ~ Galileo Galilei

As a natural part of the process, I found myself reading and studying the best available books about the nature of reality, consciousness, awareness, mindfulness, philosophy, and psychology – just to find out and to realize that to a certain degree I already knew these universal truths; it was more about the remembrance and acknowledgement than anything else. As I progressed on my chosen path, writing down realizations of various kinds – I understood that it was my task in this life to inspire others through writing; to help others become aware of their inner world; to help guide others back to their Inner Spirit, in hopes that they could discover and awaken the Living Awareness within. It was one of the greatest and grandest moments of this journey to realize that I was created like this on purpose – God had created me the way I am, with all of my abilities, strengths and weaknesses, for a purpose. And so you see, through this inner journey, I saw how God really does have a plan for each of us.

In the midst of this process of discovery, there was a moment of clarity where all the pieces fell into place. It was as if deep down within my core, I recalled something profound – I was appointed this task and I was ready to take up the challenge, even if it would take me years to finish. And so you see, many times on this path I found myself experiencing a feeling of déjà vu, or altervu – the deep inner feeling that I had experienced this before. This is to say that I had a strong feeling that I had lived before prior to this existence; and that I had already written this book in some shape of form in some previous existences, or quite possibly, in some alternate – parallel simultaneous existence.

As we examine this idea, it’s not far from what the ancient wisdom teachings throughout the world has known for thousands of years: Life being a continual expression of consciousness moving or transmigrating from one existence to the next, in which the circumstances into which a being is reborn are determined by the good or bad acts done by that being in previous existences. In the Buddhist formulation of dependent origination (Interconnectedness of All Things), samskāras are described to be “mental constituents” that are transmitted from one life to the next; samskāras themselves are the result from ignorance of the truth (Dharma); the word samskāra means “that which has been put together,” and “that which puts together.” Taking the previous into consideration, the continual feelings of déjà vu and altervu – makes perfect sense.

Now when I come back to those books that I mentioned earlier*1 – it needs to be noted that somehow only the most relevant sources of information found their way into my hands, like D.T. Suzuki’s books on Zen. Another great example is Alan Watts’ book The Way of Zen, which had been waiting to be read for some time – even though it had found me quite mysteriously through the Phenomenon of Synchronicity, I had never opened the book until the summer of 2014. From the very moment I opened the book, I felt a certain familiarity with Alan – a deeper level of connection that cannot be explained with mere words. This is to say that there was an impeccably strong aura surrounding him – alive and vibrant energy signature, not constrained by time or space; so familiar indeed, that later when I was listening to his audio lectures, I could sense his presence near me – as a teacher and a mentor (I’ve previously had similar experiences with the Sensei of Shambala*2).
_______
*1 The booklist is provided at the end of this book.
*2 The Sensei of Shambala https://www.schambala.org/books.html are a set of books by Ukrainian Anastasia Novykh. which are based on the personal diary of a former high school senior girl, reflecting events of the years 1990-1991. She tells a story of an inner exploration that leads her to meeting with a most erudite man, a Martial-Arts Master and a very enigmatic person, Sensei of Shambala. His fascinating philosophy and the knowledge of the world and of humans, dynamic martial-arts, wordly wisdom, alternative medicine, ancient spiritual practices, human abilities phenomena and beyond. Most importantly, she finds answers to her principal inner questions and learns from the personal experience that humans are granted the most powerful creative force above – the power of belief and love.

That said, it is worth of mentioning that The Diamond Sutra and The Heart Sutra are among the best reads ever; to get a glimpse of these precious treasures, the following Red Pine’s explanation is quite fitting (translator and interpreter of Chinese texts, primarily Taoist and Buddhist, including poetry and sūtras).

Zen Buddhism is often said to be a practice of mind-to-mind transmission without reliance on texts. Buddhism has inspired some of the greatest philosophical writings of any religion, and two such works lie at the center of Zen:

The Heart Sutra, which monks recite all over the World, and The Diamond Sutra, said to contain answers to all questions of delusion and dualism. This is the Buddhist teaching on the perfection of wisdom and cuts through all obstacles on the path of practice.

The Diamond Sutra may look like a book, but it’s really the body of the Buddha. It’s also your body, my body, all possible bodies. But it’s a body with nothing inside and nothing outside. It doesn’t exist in space or time. Nor is it a construct of the mind. It’s no mind. And yet because it’s no mind, it has room for compassion.

In closing, as I walked the walk, I wrote down notes about the many insights, realizations, revelations, and epiphanies that I came across on my journey; and it just happened that Infinite Quantum Zen website was created as a result of that journey. In hindsight, it can be said that Infinite Living Intelligence within Living Life expressed itself through creative means – the end result is seen as a form of Infinite Quantum Zen.

Quantum Journal #010-ZX1-AWE-1, 2440-10, Omūno-Edūnī-Vedūnī-verse:
In the classical worldview, the world of physical material reality is understood as being composed of an underlying reality of disturbing theology led by the hubris of humans; in contrast, a Living Interconnected Multiverse is what we should aim for. We are constantly discovering the unexpected, and it is the purpose of these books to help us understand as much as we can from the various points of view and different ways of viewing the world. This is to say that there is a huge difference between the two, the old and the new, and this huge difference is explained in the course of these books. Throughout these books, we are told that the physical body is the expression of the Soul, and the mind is the expression of the Spirit that dwells within the Soul. We are also used to seeing Life as a process of becoming, of attaining new levels of lucidity, but the concept of Awareness being in the here and now is one of the best ways to understand what is happening. In other words, the process of understanding, overstanding, and innerstanding is the sole reason for the idea of being Awareness of what is happening within the Innerverse of our being. There is a huge difference between the concepts of Soul and body, which is why we have so many different theories floating around. In actuality, the Soul is the expression of the Spirit; the mind is the expression of the world. If we are to better understand the beauty of Life and the purpose of our lives, we need a way to describe and define reality that is consistent with what is actuality of reality. If you are going to be, at the very core, who you truly are, you need a way to express yourself spiritually in the world, you see?

Throughout these books, we are told that the physical body is the expression of the Soul, and the mind is the expression of the Spirit that dwells within the Soul.

It is a beautiful thing, in a sense, when you are looking through the eyes of Spirit, and you can see yourself in a whole new way. The idea of the existence of a non-duality is a beautiful thing, in that it includes not only the non-physical non-material reality, but also the spiritual. And so you see, Zen Awareness, is that there is a Divine Structure behind everything — even the things we perceive as being separate from us. What is the purpose of having a physical being? And so you see, when you understand the idea of the existence of non-duality, and its place in the whole of life, and you understand the idea of the non-duality of the physical material world and the dynamic nature of all things, then the idea of having a spiritual form becomes very real. And so, you see, if we are to better understand the beauty of Life and the purpose of our lives, we need a way to understand the idea of the Omnipresent Awareness — which is the first of many levels we are going to be addressing in these books; we will be covering many more levels deeper than we have been, but the idea of the spiritual reality you reside in is the first and the most important thing, and the idea of the physical material reality you are in is the second best, and the idea of the spiritual-physical reality you will be is the third best. And when you become aware of the existence of the spiritual mind, you also realize that you are always being that which you are seeking to be.

These seemingly disparate and opposing views about consciousness and spiritual origins of humans have emerged as a direct result of the people who live and work in the physical material world, thinking there is nothing but material existence. As such, it is essential to understand that for a variety of practical, philosophical, and theological reasons, it is essential to begin a conversation about the nature of reality, about the nature of consciousness. In other words, everything is a dream, and in many ways, it is our intention to make these dreams as vivid as possible through mindful living. Now, let me ask you this: What is the best part about having a practice space available for individualized, self-directed, and meditative experience? The answer is: full disclosure practice of mindfulness. There is nothing worse than being the center of the world without being mindful, without having awareness of the larger reality of life. There is nothing more powerful than the feeling of being the center of the world with more awareness, with more lucidity, with more mindfulness in your life. We have been called upon many times before by humanity to provide an explanation for its mysteries, but always with the same result: more mystery. We don’t seem to understand the original intention of creating us humans. Instead, we are always trying to create us as much as we can, for ourselves and for ourselves alone. The world we perceive with our senses is a complex process of interpretation and categorization. The world we perceive with our eyes are often considered to be a sensory-based worldview, the Western science-based worldview, and therefore, we ought not to be surprised if the brain, the mind, and the senses are not always in agreement with the actuality of reality.

Everything is a dream, and in many ways, it is our intention to make these dreams as vivid as possible through mindful living.

When we’re talking about the nature of time, we can realize that time has always been perceived through the senses, and therefore it is always a perception of time that we perceive with our eyes. In actuality, seeing the concept of time in a non-local manner is a well-known principle in the field of Quantum Information Theory, in which we come to understand that there is a difference between the classical view of the world, and the new quantum approach to the question of the reality of living beings, and therefore I think it is important to ask ourselves: Do we really know what we are creating when we aren’t thinking in terms of time as being linked to consciousness, and in terms of limited perception of the world? In other words, the concept of a “God-totality” of existence is a very good one for the moment, because it includes the possibility of a greater God-totality of existence. This brings us to an important point: What is it that we need to be Awareness of as Spiritual Human Beings? Why do we find our spiritual lives in a web of life, in a web of relationship, in a web of all-encompassing Spirit? What is it about the experience of the present moment that gives way to the understanding of the past and the future that is experience in the now? These questions leave us with a lot of room to grow. It is important to point out that the spiritual aspect of the Interconnected Quantum Multiverse is often misunderstood to be the focus of attention, and therefore the perception of the world as an non-integrated whole. The concept of life as a whole is a beautiful expression of the love between the human mind and the human body, and the mind with the whole being of life; this is the fundamental nature of Living Life within the Interconnected Multiverse. The concept of time as a spiritual concept is also a beautiful expression of the love between the human mind and the human body, and the mind with the whole being of life; this is the fundamental nature of the Interconnected Multiverse.

We can therefore say that if we are tuned into our own consciousness, into our own awareness, and overall, into our Innerverse, we have a pretty good idea of what the Interconnected Multiverse is, and what is happening within it. It is a state of being which is separate from all other states of being, and serves as a theoretical-experimental laboratory for the concept of a more general reality of life. Although we don’t always know what we want to believe, we can use our logical abilities to think of and explore the idea of non-existence, which, in and of itself, is something much different than not existing — quite the contrary. In the modern world, we live in a highly mechanistic society where humans are regarded as mere machines. In the world we know, the world of the future, time is always now, and humans are seen as Living Spiritual Beings. It is important to emphasize the fact that, in a sense, the mind is the same as the body, the body is the same as the mind. You see, the physical body is the seat of the mind, which is the sear of the Soul. In this sense, the physical body is the most important part of the whole as it comes to human beings, because it connects us to the mind, which, in turn, connects us to the Soul and the Spirit that dwells within. The whole is the first person who is aware of the whole as the whole, and the whole as the whole of life. We can realize that the process of life is more complex than simply becoming — there is the Spiritual World to explore, and then there is the next level of consciousness and awareness to be gained through the physical body, you see?

In the world we know, the world of the future, time is always now, and humans are seen as Living Spiritual Beings.

When we become Awareness of the surrounding world — we can realize that we are, indeed, the center of the universe, and that the whole is in the center of the Innerverse of our being. Therefore, we must understand that our life is not only a physical life, but Spiritual Life, too, and this is the reason why we have been created — to grow more awareness of the same, so that we too can become more Aware of the Awareness of Awareness that dwells within. When the mind becomes Awareness of the Awareness it is creating in the moment, it can become Awareness of the Awareness it is the object of. When the body becomes Awareness of the Awareness it is the body, and the mind is Awareness of the Awareness it is the mind. So that we too can become Awareness of the Self that is within, we can also become conscious of the Self that is outside, and therefore of the duality of the duality of the duality of the world of the present moment. Then we would understand the idea of living in the present moment and knowing that the whole of the existing human species is actually a single, eternal, fixed, and incommensurable system of mutual dependence. This is to say that the mind is always searching, and always willing to learn more about you in the way you are able to provide the information, but you are also willing to provide the consciousness that is necessary to allow the mind to be Awareness of the existence and the nature of its being. The question is: Is it in the very nature of our being to be aware, and to be conscious of the Zen of Life? When we are asking the question, we are also asking the question: Do we really know who and what we are? This is to say that we cannot understand the world as a whole, or even as a whole as an integrated whole without knowing ourselves. For example, we can see that the moon has been around since before time started — it just so happens that the past is a great mystery, a great enigma, and the future a nightmare if we as humans are not willing to change, to transform beyond illusion, ignorance and hubris.

What is the relationship of consciousness to other quantum-substances or non-quantum forces? The world is an emergent integrated whole, and thus there is no place for a part of the structure, nor any place for a part of the structure. In other words, there is a threshold at which a substance such as consciousness or awareness is perceived by the senses, which is to say that a certain degree of separation is essential to allow the consciousness of the world to permeate the physical reality of the mind, and the mind to permeate the physical reality of the body. When we begin to discuss the spiritual properties of water for example, we can realize that it is far more probable that the Earth were not made of stone, but of some other material reality. In this way, we can better understand why some people are experienced in experiencing a certain way of thinking, while others are not. The second branch of the soteriological thought is the spiritual view of the world, in which the understanding is not so much in the observation of human experience, but in the recognition of it, and the experience of it.

Of course, there are those who argue that our physical reality is an illusion, and that our physical reality is an illusion that we are not able to leave the physical reality, because then we would be unable to participate in the Spiritual Living of the Transcendent. It is, in a sense, necessary to ask ourselves: Do we really know who we are, or do we believe that we know who we are? If we try to understand the mystery of Life and the purpose of our lives with our human intellect, we will always end up with a dead end. So what is the purpose of our lives? Is it really to survive as long as possible, or do we have a purpose and function beyond that? There is, indeed, more to life than that. This has never been more evident than now, is it not? There is a huge discrepancy between the two main theories of the origin of human consciousness — the idea that there is a clear separation between the mind and the brain, which explains why we are able to comprehend the world so uniquely — it is a priori evident from the fact that the world is a living process. The world is a living process that is done internally out of a state of being present in Spirit. When we come to this understanding, we can realize that we are living in a completely new way of thinking and being — a new way of seeing, a new way of being, and a new way of living.

The basic idea of the Self that we know as being the center of the Interconnected Multiverse, is a self-organizing, self-regulating, self-enriching, self-liberating, self-expanding, self-generating, and self-maintaining Living Intelligent Unit of all the units of the whole. This is the idea that each of us is an immensity, and that each of us are connected to the core element of the whole. There is the idea, but there is also the matter; there is the concept, but there is also the reality. The process of becoming a living Spiritual Human Being is a very complex and involved process, and in the process of becoming a living Spiritual Human Being, we are constantly creating new boundaries between ourselves, and we are constantly changing our lifestyle in an attempt to keep our physical form. The idea of quantum matter is the same idea as the idea of God: it is an idea that has always been there, but until now has not been able to be demonstrated. And it turns out that there is something you can do about it. The idea is to have a conscious experience of the present moment, which is the first step towards knowing how the world really is. It is important to note that it is more difficult to become aware of the existence of the Interconnected Quantum Multiverse, and of the Omniverse of Interconnected Multiverses within the Innerverse in particular.

In one way, this chapter continues the earlier discussion, and in another way, it moves the conversation forward. As such, this chapter can be considered as a preparation for what comes next, namely The Role of Consciousness in the Quantum World, which in turn plays a crucial role in laying groundwork for some of the more complex chapters dealing with the nature of time and the idea of a multiverse; their sole purpose is to expand one’s thinking in a way that might be of help in opening up new avenues of thought and appreciation, opening up new perspectives and ways of seeing. This is done by providing a creative, stimulating and thought-provoking perspective that some would say is a bit over the top and outside the box; which is, after all, the whole purpose of this work. You see, nothing new can come out of anything old, outdated and outmoded, would you agree?

Earlier we briefly mentioned the Schrödinger’s cat paradox and the Heisenberg’s uncertainty principle. From these foundational aspects of Quantum Mechanics we get to another reason as to why the understanding of Quantum Mechanical principles of life seems to be so difficult for most people. The problem is deeply rooted in the way in which we see the world – as if everything would be separate from ourselves. There is no better way to illustrate this than to point out that the scientific learning often inclines atheism, or at the very least – agnosticism. This kind of mindset propels scientific inquiry, which makes you wonder many things, and in turn makes it irresistible not to formulate theories around them. From this, the question arises: What kind of science would there be if the premise would be the exact opposite?

The current stance at which science is done today reveals the irony within, and even hints of a great cosmic joke of sorts. You see, quite funnily enough, the atheist (or scientist) is God playing hide and seek with itself – utilizing the creative principle to create something that tries believably and convincingly deny itself and hence its very own existence. In other words, the underlying belief that propels scientific inquiry goes like this: in the beginning there was nothing and nothing happened to nothing, and then this nothing magically exploded for no apparent reason creating everything, and then a bunch of everything mysteriously rearranged itself for no reason whatsoever – into self-replicating bits which then turned into living beings – makes perfect sense, does it not? Now one should be asking oneself: Who’s playing who here? Is all this some sort of great cosmic joke being played on us? And if so, what is this joke exactly? Is the great cosmic joke precisely that you are what you are seeking?

Even though the modern-day science has slowly been catching up to the ancient mysticism and the concepts that were deeply embedded in various cultures throughout the ancient world – there’s still long way to go before we get anywhere near achieving the level of understanding needed to transform deeply ingrained beliefs and assumptions that weigh us down. In other words, Quantum Mechanics is just the beginning in a long journey of discovery – what comes next and what will it look like is but anyone’s guess. Nevertheless, the coming new synthesis of science, ancient mysticism and spirituality recognizes matter and Spirit to be one unified energy in different stages of manifestation – constantly altering the way in which we perceive ourselves and our reality; awareness being the core of it all, and matter being its manifestation in physical reality – see?

So keeping all that in mind, it doesn’t take much to realize that the current scientific approach of objective reality is limited, and hence it doesn’t paint a complete picture – not by a long shot. It is quite clear that this type of approach has gotten us to only a certain point; to go any further, we would need to change our perception and also be willing to enter into a whole another paradigm altogether. From this perspective, it seems that the “original creative thinking” that comes “outside” the limited human mind is “years far ahead” when it is compared to the current collective consensus reality and the approaches therein. This goes on to say that if we hope to someday master the mysteries of the universe, including the Quantum World, we would need to step up our game – big time.

In modern physics, we are constantly trying to objectify the world, but interestingly, again and again, we find that all things exist in relationships. Therefore, we should begin to see the world as an integrated whole, rather than a dissociated collection of separated parts. The biggest mistake that we as the collective human species have ever made in our hubris, is most definitely the repetitive ignorance over this undeniable truth of the Interconnectedness of Everything. Granted, on a mental intellectual level, we may understand the concept, but on the deeper – more meaningful level, not so much. So what can be done about this? Well, we can start by learning other ways and perspectives. You see, we can learn tremendously from the ancient wisdom traditions; there is much we can learn from the Eastern view. One such example is a Buddhist view of relativity: according to this view, everything is bound together in a network of interdependencies – everything is, therefore – connected, conditioned, relative and interdependent.

– When this is – That is.
– This arising – That arises.
– When this is not – That is not.
– This ceasing – That ceases.

To give another example of a profound insight that can be learned from these ancient wisdom traditions – let me introduce you a Buddhist conception of the universe in an image; it details the interconnectedness and interdependence amazingly well (similar to the Western view of a Holographic Fractal Nature of Reality).

“You could imagine a multidimensional spider’s web in the early morning covered with dew drops; every dew drop contains the reflection of all the other dew drops. In each reflected dew drop the reflections of all the other dew drops can be seen in that reflection, and so on ad infinitum.” ~ Buddhist Conception of the Universe in an Image.

The world around us is governed by Quantum Mechanical principles that are inherently nonlocal. This makes the mind and the world aspects of the same thing – an endless sea of Living Consciousness that is realized through Living Awareness. So, now the question becomes: Why do we have such a huge blind spot in our understanding when it comes to consciousness and the nature of reality? Why is it that we overlook the importance of consciousness in regards to all things Quantum? It is a well-known fact that the continual exposure to something reduces our awareness of its presence, so over time, we become blind to the obvious. Let us explore this through an analogy, shall we?

“We don’t know who first discovered water, but we can be sure that it wasn’t a fish.” ~ Philosopher Marshall McLuhan.

For a fish in the ocean, all it knows is water. Born in water, it lives, breeds, and dies in the water. Water is the only reality the fish knows – its whole world is water. In exactly the same way, we humans are born into a physical reality, we become conscious of ourselves, our lives, our world, and we assume everyone else is doing the same. Like in the Marshall McLuhan’s words, a fish swims in the water – likewise we humans swim in a sea of consciousness; and like a fish that has become oblivious to its aqueous environment, we have become dulled to the ubiquity of consciousness. In other words, just as the fish has no words in its vocabulary to express the nature of the solid land, so is the case with us humans when it comes to the subject of consciousness – see?

More to the point of this chapter: Quantum Nonlocality comes into play when we are talking about the idea of Quantum Entanglement, which is a state in which two particles act together in an entangled system. This means that they behave like one object even though they are physically apart. Throughout the universe subatomic particles act as they are connected to each other – meaning that what we do to one particle at one location, happens for another particle at the different location. The interesting part is that this phenomena is not limited only to particles. You see, in its broadest sense, this phenomena covers not only such immaterial things as thoughts, intentions, feelings and emotions, but also consciousness, awareness, Soul, and Spirit.

Quantum Entanglement shows wonderfully that every action, thought, intention, feeling and emotion is indeed connected, and thus can affect the whole in one manner or another. And herein lies both the problem and the solution. You see, at best, if we stay open-minded and open-hearted, the aforementioned will completely and profoundly change the way we approach life. But with the current stance that everything is physical, measurable or deducible; that everything is composed of matter and energy; that life can only be explained in purely mechanical terms, we will never know what entanglement truly means, and never know the true extent and implications of nonlocality – how deep it really goes, is but anyone’s guess.

This goes on to say that scientists will never be able to understand it all with the current level of consciousness and thinking – unless, of course, they are willing to explore new horizons and consider new ways of thinking – which also include subjective experiences, you see? When the subjective experiences around the idea of Quantum Entanglement is added to the equation – the reality of an Interconnected, Nonlocal Quantum World begins to open up in a whole another way. When this wider awareness is coupled with the current scientific understanding – new doors of perception and understanding will miraculously appear. When things are simplified, everything will be seen in more clarity, and suddenly many missing links just seem to appear out of nowhere – making the whole become crystal clear.

Alan Watts - Individual and the World Pt 1 Full Lecture. We talk in ordinary ways about my body. My feet. And when we go to the dentist to have out teeth fixed, we regard him rather as a mechanic. Like you take your car to the garage so you take your body to the surgeon or the dentist or whatever it is to be fixed how the parts changed or something of that kind. And they’re really getting to work on that now. And so the question is when somebody has a heart transplant. That sounds very radical because we say in my heart of hearts. But nowadays most of us seem to feel that whatever it is, that I is, is located in the head. Somewhere behind the eyes and between the ears is the center. And the rest of us is an appendage a vehicle which carries the self around. Now popular speech also reflects the sensation. That I am very different from what we call the other. Other people, other things. Anything that we can become aware of is sort of other.

There is an opposition apparently between the knower and the known. And so we talk about facing reality. We talk about coming into this world. As if somehow we didn’t belong. As if instead of being leaves growing out of a tree we were a lot of birds that had alighted on bare branches. And it has become common sense for most people living in the twentieth century today to adopt the nineteenth century philosophy of science. Which interprets the physical universe outside human bodies as being a mechanical contraption which is essentially stupid, unfeeling automatic, Composed of mainly geological elements: rocks gases and so forth. And therefore we feel rather alone and left out of this thing. In contrast with the ideas of Ptolemaic astronomy. Instead of being at the center of the universe. We are on the outer limits of a minor galaxy revolving around an unimportant star. On a small minute ball of rock. And therefore that astronomical way of looking at things is simply overwhelming. It makes us feel not only of no importance but also very much left out. And as a result, that is the common sense of most people living today.

We did of course have a religious view of our nature that we were the children of a loving God who is in charge of this whole operation. But very few people actually believe that anymore. A great many people think they ought to believe it and would like to believe in it but they don’t. Most ministers that I know don’t believe it but they feel guilty about this because they feel they ought to. But it became implausible. There never was a serious argument against it. It simply became unthinkable in comparison with the dimensions of the universe as we now see it. So having lost a way of looking at the world, an image of the world which gave us some sense of meaning, we now have an image of the world which gives us none at all. And so we feel rather inclined to put up a fight against the whole show. Interestingly enough, when in the nineteenth century we switched our common sense from supernaturalism to naturalism, one would think that a naturalist would be a person who love nature. Just as a materialist ought to be a person who loves material but certainly isn’t. With what is called a philosophy of scientific naturalism. Naturalism is used in a negative way.

Ecology is that aspect of science which deals with the relationship between organisms and their environments. Ecology is the study of the balance of nature. Of the way in which every living being depends upon innumerable other living beings of all species. And also upon inanimate forces. Air, water, temperature, gases, vegetation and all sorts of things. And this is one of the most important sciences that we can possibly study today. Because we are in a position where we realize that we cannot help interfering with the world. To be alive is to interfere. You must interfere. You cannot go back and say: Hands off nature. let’s leave it all alone. Because you’re stuck with it. Especially once you’ve started to interfere in a major way. We have so altered our environment that there is no hope for it but to go ahead. But we can, to some extent, change direction. But the only way that I can see of our effectively changing direction is through a transformation of the feeling that we have of our own existence and of what we mean by I.

In this chapter, we will take a short detour and see how the conceptual framework named Infinite Quantum Zen got started; this will be an eye-opening reading experience that will shed some light on the personal side of things – while doing this, we are also engaging in learning. You see, this kind of personal narrative provides a wonderful way to further explore some of the themes already familiar to us.

Originally Infinite Quantum Zen was only an idea – a seed for something big and transformative; when the idea was born, it had no name or any outline of its contents. Slowly but surely the seed began to sprout, and eventually the project was started in late 2013; all I had at that point in time was the deep inner knowing that the project would eventually lead up to become a cohesive whole.

After spending years designing complex software architecture, it occurred to me: what could be more interesting than studying Life and finding out the secrets that are embedded in every cell and every particle in our universe. As such, Infinite Quantum Zen is a result of years of study, self-inquiry, contemplation, intuition, processing and practice. In other words, a synthesis of everything I’ve learned and experienced over the years.

When I began this journey, I had a deep sense of certainty that the personal subjective experiences combined with the latest scientific understanding of the Quantum World, coupled with Ancient Wisdom – would open up the door to the Mystery of Life. In hindsight, I can say that the certainty alone was the main driving engine behind the success of the project – the more I trusted the path I was on, the more certain I became.

The beginning stages were once written down and collected into a blog; its sole purpose was to document the first-hand experiences and realizations – past, present & future – forming a timeline of Self-Realization Journey. Everything was shared from the heart, and hence the term ‘Living Truth’ was used to describe the style of expression. In essence, this kind of pure expression maintains its authenticity and rings truth in every cell when the receiver is tuned to vibrate in harmony with the Source of All Creation. In other words, I was practicing honesty in its purest form.

As processes often are in their core essence – ever-changing and ever-evolving, so are humans with their thoughts, opinions and outlook on life; I’m no different in this regard, and was also subject to change – meaning that somewhere along the way, I realized that I had to start from scratch. This part of the process resulted in a re-created and re-formed idea – a crystallized body of work that might also help others to understand Life, its mysteries, and the nature of reality a little better.

From the very beginning, the aim was to crystallize years worth of learning into an easily understandable format that could offer a radically different view of reality, of the existence of a primal web of energy – connecting our physical body, mind, and inner consciousness with the world and the larger universe. Somewhere along the way, I realized that in order to answer the fundamental questions about human beings and human civilization – I had to fully understand humankind itself. From this realization, it became apparent that turning inward to search for the answers was the only viable option.

In other words, I realized that if I could understand how I myself think and function, I should also be able to understand how other humans function; if I could understand my own intelligence, I should also be able to understand human intelligence. Furthermore, if I could understand my own relationship with nature, the universe, and God*1 – I should be able to understand the relationship between human species, nature, the universe, and God.
_______
*1 The concept of a Higher Power or Creator – being or essence that is known throughout the world by many different names; it matters not what name we call it – in essence, they all mean the same.

Little I knew at the time how it all would unfold, and even less did I know how big of a role Self-Transformation*1 would play in this wholeness. I had already had some glimpses of the Thoughtless State of the Mind (Mushin*2), but never could I have imagined what would transpire if I would completely surrender to the process of Self-Transformation. Infinite Quantum Zen in its entirety (including this book) is the result of achieving a permanent state of thoughtless mind – resulting in a whole new way of living (Lucid Living*3).
_______
*1 Self-Transformation is a process of creating ourselves anew.
*2 Mushin is a thoughtless state of the mind, which is a mental state into which trained martial artists are said to enter during combat; they also practice this state during everyday activities. Mushin (無心; Japanese mushin; English translation “no mind”) The term is shortened from mushin no shin (無心の心), a Zen expression meaning the mind without mind and is also referred to as the state of “no-mindness.” That is, a mind not fixed or occupied by thought or emotion.
*3 This area is discussed in more detail in the section, titled AWARENESS – in the chapters 1.) The Art of Lucid Living, and 2.) The Art of Mindful Living.

Now when I look back, I can say in hindsight that for me there was never a single point at which I would have felt the need for a teacher, a spiritual guide, a guru, or someone outside myself to tell me what I already knew deep down in my core. Mainly so because deep within the most ancient parts of my being there was a part of me that knew the Truth – Life in its Infinite Wisdom is the best teacher there is, ever was, and ever will be. In other words, I learned everything I am sharing with you now by walking my path deep within myself – alone, except the friendship, beauty, love, and guidance of the unseen world – which we can simply refer to as Spirit.

When the direction of my quest turned inward, I began to uncover the truth about human existence and our evolutionary journey through life.

We are human, and as humans we are curious beings – just as we want to know who we truly are, we also want to know why we are here, and what is the purpose of our existence here on Earth.

We are all on a journey, slowly discovering more of our True Self, gradually getting to the core of who we truly are. There are many paths to take, and none is better than the other – see?

Along the way, it became obvious that in the end, we all want the same things in life: health, happiness, and love – very much in that order; none of which are dependent upon external factors such as money or belongings.

The deeper I went, the more I realized that there is nothing we must be, do, or have, nothing to achieve, to become, to grow to, or strive for – and ultimately, nothing to seek, and nothing to find.

This, in other words, is realizing the great cosmic joke – that you are what you are seeking. The most important part of this realization was that there really is no becoming – we merely discover what we truly are. You see, we cannot become that which we already are. In other words, the only becoming is unbecoming everything we are not. So where does the cosmic joke lead us? Back to where we started, but with a completely new perspective – to the unadulterated pure joy of just being alive. We all look for happiness, peace, and fulfillment in the things of the world, yet all along, these things are our very nature – our very own center of being, you see?

There are no possible ways to explain this level of realization apart from saying that all the questions have finally been answered, and what remains is the incommunicable experience of ‘emptiness’ or ‘voidness’ or sunyata*1 as it is called in Sanskrit; one could even translate it as ‘zero’ or ‘nothingness.’ Interestingly, at the same time, it can be translated to mean openness, or pure potentiality. But all these are but words that we use to label an experience – a spiritual, even a transcendental, experience – which we have no way of describing, and thus they can be misleading unless one has experienced it for themselves. This is why one has to study these concepts more in depth to get even a glimpse of what this mystery entails.
_______
*1 Sunyata refers to understanding that all things are empty of intrinsic existence and nature. The Heart Sutra, articulates this in the following saying: “Form is emptiness, emptiness is form. Emptiness is not separate from form, form is not separate from emptiness. Whatever is form is emptiness, whatever is emptiness is form.”

Whatever one may learn about sunyata, it is always essentially a mystery, something to be experienced in the equal mystery of one’s own personal spiritual life. In other words, all the various explanations and formulations are but means to and end, not ends in themselves – they all, from within their own different contexts, point the way by which we may ourselves experience that Truth. To give an example: just as a noise can only be heard in relative silence, and light can only be seen in contrast with darkness, form can only arise within the context of emptiness. Emptiness, then, as the nature of every thing, is the condition that makes existence as things possible. It is against this backdrop that we can more easily understand this experience of sunyata.

If one continues on their path of self-discovery, all of the above will eventually lead one to discover that life is – as unpleasant as it may sound, totally and utterly purposeless, without any particular meaning assigned to it. In other words, life has no built-in meaning – it is we ourselves who give meaning and purpose to our lives by living fully in the present moment, aware of and awake to our current experience. One way of looking at it is to say that life is a “sandbox” of sorts – tabula rasa, empty canvas. That is to say, life is what we make it, and life has all the meaning we give it. You see, in life, we are in full control of the perspective and meaning we take from any event. However, if one looks deeper, we can, indeed, find greater purpose. You see, it is that very purposeful purposelessness in itself that gives rise to the human need to find both purpose and meaning.

Some might take this as an absurdist point of view, and if that’s the case, perfect! You can congratulate yourself for recognizing that – to realize the absurdity of life is the beginning, not an end. You see, the realization of the absurdity of life fundamentally changes one’s way of living, thinking, and feeling; it allows one to further realize that happiness stems from being aware; from being grateful for this moment. As we can see, even though life may seem absurd, pointless and without meaning – there is purpose in everything; we just need to be aware enough to see it, as is the case here: by being what it is, this book has served its purpose – creating the spark that illuminates what is truly meaningful, universal and eternal, if only for a brief second.

And that is the beauty of it all – you see, even if something contradicts itself, it can still be true; the wisdom lies in paradox: life is both meaningful and meaningless; nothing matters and yet everything matters; we can make no difference but we can also make all the difference; we are both everything and nothing; all of it and none of it. The conclusion being: the key to the Truth is found in paradox; the method or process by which this realization comes to be experienced and expressed – be it Zen, Yoga, the Paradox of the Absurd, or something else – doesn’t really matter, and what does, is that one embarks on a journey. Although there are many paths to take, there is only one journey to which we are called; although there are many paths to the top of the mountain, the view is always the same – see?

As one treads the path of their choosing, one will ultimately arrive at the point where one finds that the greatest achievement is to return to the Original State of Being; to become nothing at all, and in so doing, paradoxically enough – becoming everything. You see, the beauty of it all lies in the truth that we cannot become that which we already are. Knowing this truth allows one to experience that which some would call a “God Realization,” which is the highest state of consciousness in Creation. The greatest challenge is to peel off the layers we have gathered throughout our lives. As we continue our inner journey, having finally shed all the unnecessary layers, we eventually discover that what remains is the experience of pure beingness. In this process, we can learn how to become empty and receptive, which naturally and inexorably leads to a state of being which can best be described as the balance between emptiness and fullness. In this state, one is able to experience total harmony within oneself.

Quantum Journal #009-ZX1-AWE-1, 2440-09, Omūno-Edūnī-Vedūnī-verse:
When we become Awareness of the existence of our Spiritual Reality, we can recognize that the awareness of that reality is very much a product of our beliefs and patterns of thought, and therefore it is important to understand that it is always a process, rather than something that happens in an instant. When you begin to see the process of Living Awareness as the Living Awareness of Life, you will see that there is a very simple way to explain this: there is a point in time where you begin to experience all of the above, and it is very easy to see the whole of the experience as a single, continuous moment. This is to say that the whole of humanity is made of this Spiritual World, and our level of consciousness is a function of the environment we are born with, a function of our Spiritual Growth. The reason that the current spiritual movement has not only survived, but thrived in spite of the apparent contradiction between the ideas of the material world and the ideas of the spiritual world is because despite the apparent reality of it, the whole is seen as a product of consciousness, and thus the whole is Matrix of Living Consciousness that is the basis for all life. This goes on to say that the material world is a product of our thoughts and behaviors, and therefore our world is a product of something that can only be described as being spiritual in nature. We also live in a highly charged environment, and therefore it is essential to understand how we as humans are able to absorb so much energy and consciousness from the environment — it is not enough to simply accept the fact that we are made of the material world.

When we become Awareness of the existence of our Spiritual Reality, we can recognize that the awareness of that reality is very much a product of our beliefs and patterns of thought, and therefore it is important to understand that it is always a process, rather than something that happens in an instant.

If we are to better understand the beauty of Life and the purpose of our lives, we need a way to explain how we can better understand the nature of reality. This is to say that there is a difference between the understanding of a spiritual form and the understanding of a physical phenomenon. We can make a distinction between the two, but it is always a matter of perspective. Our sense of reality is being shaped by the things we are not able to physically see or touch, which goes on to say that the physical material world can be a metaphor for the Innerverse of the mind, which is a way of being in the physical material world. Our Quantum Soul is in a relationship with the world, and with the world inside us, and with the whole of existence. From this, the question arises: Are these two completely different things? It is very important to understand that the concept of the material world and its relationships with time, space, and matter are fundamental to the understanding of the subject. The concept of the material world and consciousness is also very important to understand, and it is worth noting that the whole of humanity is a product of this Multiverse of Atman, and therefore we are a part of the whole. The more we are Awareness of our Being, the more we are able to become Awareness of our Being, and also of the process of becoming more and more Awareness of Life itself.

It is also known as the state of being present, or the state of being conscious, in which there is no momentary in or moment of moment of moment of self. It is the very nature of the mind and the very nature of the awareness that is present in the moment. That is to say, the mind sees everything as being there, and the mind, in turn, perceives everything as being there, Zen of Living Awareness, you see? It is this ability of Awareness itself — an inherent part of the whole — that is the source of our physical awareness, and therefore of our physical material reality. If we cannot see the physicality of things, we can at least as easily understand the concept of the body as the body of a Soul, and thus it is a vital part of Our Spiritual Nature. And so it goes, that in this way, we can understand the idea of the self-created duality of the Multiverse; of duality of duality that is inherent in the notion of duality — which is the very foundation of the Multiverse — in which the Multiverse originated from, and that is the core of the whole. At the same time, we can also realize that there is a huge difference between the basic idea of the creation and the underlying reality of the whole. This is to say that when we are talking about the existence of consciousness, we are talking about a fundamental change in our understanding of the world.

That is to say, the mind sees everything as being there, and the mind, in turn, perceives everything as being there, Zen of Living Awareness, you see? It is this ability of Awareness itself — an inherent part of the whole — that is the source of our physical awareness, and therefore of our physical material reality.

Now, let us take a moment to ask ourselves: How can we ever be able to create a new society and a new humanity if we are not even close of understanding what we are creating? If we take the previous into consideration, what is, then, the purpose of this entire Interconnected Multiverse in the first place? Is it, in your opinion, that there is no clear path to understanding the nature of the Interconnected Quantum Multiverse or the basic structure of the Interconnected Multiverse itself? What is the nature of the mind, is it something that does not have a name or a function? If so, what is its nature and what is its true function? What is the difference between the two? What is the nature of the Interconnected Multiverse and what is its role in the whole? All this is to say that there is a huge difference between the understanding of the natural world and the understanding of the human mind which thinks that there is something called physical material reality somewhere out there. In other words, all of these seemingly simple, yet profound truths are yet to be fully and completely understood. For instance, if we take the simple notion of a human life and combine it with the difficult concept of a Spiritual Living Being, we will always find ourselves in a state of birth or death.

The idea of the world as an integrated whole — known in physics as the Quantum Mechanical viewpoint, or Quantum Mechanical Theory of the Interconnected Multiverse. The concept of time in the contemporary world is in fact a product of the Western Science of the Western World, and yet, we are not capable of understanding it at all; we are not capable of seeing other perspectives, and we are not capable of relating to other perspectives. When we are aware, we can realize that we are consciousness, and that we are Awareness of the Zen of Life, the Living Awareness of Life of Zen — we are connected with it by Spirit. The problem is that the basic idea of the Interconnected Multiverse of Atman is missing in Full Spectrum Awareness of Yoga, which is the practice of attaining knowledge of the Inner Being, and then, by changing our focus to the different levels of consciousness, we can gain a deeper understanding of the nature of the Interconnected Multiverse — Innerverse of the mind, Innerverse of consciousness, you see? So far you have been following along with the flow of the story, and you will be rewarded in kind with a new level of understanding and application of the concepts you have learned. The first of these being the concept of time as a priori defined as a concept that has been set aside because it is a belief system or because it is a theory that has not been tested. And so you see, the whole of humanity is a collective dream, created by our individual consciousness within and the perception with our individual consciousness receiving awareness of its own being.

When we are aware, we can realize that we are consciousness, and that we are Awareness of the Zen of Life, the Living Awareness of Life of Zen — we are connected with it by Spirit.

When we are talking about the nature of time, we can realize that time is a direct process of perception that is only possible because the mind is being released from the perception of space. And so you see, time is simply the process of becoming Awareness of the Zen of Life, of the present moment; the more you are aware, the more you can perceive and notice. Now that we have some basic understanding about how the Interconnected Quantum Multiverse is created and maintains, we can begin to understand how we are able to provide for and live in the Interconnected Quantum Multiverse — it is truly a wondrous place. That being said, it is important to point out that there are definite levels to the Ultimate Structure of the Interconnected Multiverse within the Innerverse, which are the gates of the level of unconscious. When we are deeper in Consciousness, we can realize that there is a very broad spectrum of consciousness, and that there is a very broad spectrum of reality. There is an idea that when you’re connecting the previous two, you are connecting the previous two things, and the previous two things are connected now, you see? When you are connecting the preceding two, you are connecting the present moment and the future moment. This means that the physical material world and its inhabitants are always a part of the Innerverse, and therefore the world of ideas is always open to our gaze and amazement.

So in this sense, it can be said that the Interconnected Quantum Multiverse is an integrated whole, which, in turn, is a Living Intelligence of the Innerverse. In other words, the whole of humanity is made up of various strands of individual cells, and various varieties of energy, of consciousness, of awareness. Spiritual gain is, therefore, entirely, independent of our physical existence. For example, if you are a person of strong belief — like I was — then do what you will with this belief; the energy is already in the matter, perceived as matter. However, if you are a person of strong will — like I was — then utilize every moment of your waking life to test the theories that are within those cycles of spiritual development, spiritual growth, spiritual evolvement. In other words, the whole of humanity was created equal; therefore, we are all unique creator organizations; and now, everyone is a creator, and everyone is a creator, and everyone is a creator, you see? In this way, a person can be a fully conscious, awake and aware, and yet, on the other hand, there is still a part of us that is a part of us, and yet, we are always a part of the whole. Therefore, it is important to ask ourselves: Do we really are living in a physical material reality? If we are to better understand the beauty of Life and the purpose of our lives, we need to explore the idea of a Living Awareness. To get a sense of how big of an impact this has had on my own life, I have to say that it has been an absolute blast. When I was first starting out, I would always say that my main focus would be being a Spiritual Human being, and if I could lose it, it’s not me. But the thing is, my energy, my consciousness, my awareness, is always with you, and when it’s with you, the thing is always with you.

If you are a person of strong will — like I was — then utilize every moment of your waking life to test the theories that are within those cycles of spiritual development, spiritual growth, spiritual evolvement.

Perhaps the single most important discovery of our time is the realization that we are not where we seem to be going from here. This is a profoundly humbling process, because it means that we are forced to re-evaluate everything we have been taught. All That We Need Is Awareness of the Now, which links us to the concept of time, which is, in a sense, a concept of a single moment in the past or the future in the now. It is only when the individual is attuned to the idea of the awareness of time, that they can understand the beauty of it all. The idea of the self that we feel is a physical manifestation of the Divine, is in fact a way of living in the moment, being in the present moment of now. While some may argue that our physical material world is a representation of the Divine, we should take into consideration that Living Consciousness is the most fundamental reality within our own consciousness. The idea of the self that we have is, in fact, a representation of the idea of the Divine being; the Self that we feel as a physical body, is in fact a way of living in the moment through Spirit that dwells within our Souls. Therefore, it is important to note that while the Western conception of the world is not ideal, it is also limited to the Western understanding of the world. The idea that there is another, more ideal view of the world, and that it is more important than the first is the most important question that must be answered. This leads to a blind spot in most people’s minds, when they are trying to find the answers to the world’s most important mysteries. The idea that there is a better way, there is a time when there was not a thing, when there was not a thing, when there was not a thing.
